Hi from Pete
I’m Pete, and I run In Between Beats. I started the blog because I love drums.
I love learning about the history of different drumming cultures, improving my playing and of course I love drum gear.
I’ve been playing for around 30 years in different genres: currently getting involved in the jazz scene in my local city.
I use In Between Beats to share thoughts and research with developing drummers.
Outside of the drumming world I’m a psychologist, or behavioural scientist.
With In Between Beats I’ll share my ideas about how psychology can teach us about how to be better drummers.
